Bronze II Pennants team played their 2nd round at Oatlands and Sally Gooley, Rosie Artlett, Janine Miller, Lee Thomas and Margaret McLean played the lovely ladies from Concord.
We were all diligent warming up in the nets and on the practice putting green. I had given out the goodie bags – a mix of healthy food and sugar boosting lollies, and am now rethinking what I will put in the bags next week to give the team an extra boost, as we went down 3.5 games to 1.5 games – Rosie with a win and Lee squaring and being the only one of us to get to the 18th.
Lunch was a celebration of birthdays – Margaret McLean from Pennant Hills and four ladies from Concord, who all celebrated their birthdays in the past week with some of us enjoying a glass of champagne to toast the birthday ladies.
Next week we play Avondale at Pymble which will be a challenge for the team as many of us have not played at Pymble.
